Beautiful Day for a Birthday Party

Today was Ben Eddy's 5th birthday party at Cromwell Valley Park. Ian had a rough time of it this morning, but I still managed to get some good pics. The weather was great for March.

Collecting treasures on the nature hike.
Ian and some of his school friends: Ben Eddy, Ben Peacock, Zen, Alex, Cylas, Matteo, Eric and Ben Eddy's cousin.

Ian and his buddy Matteo.

Elliot came by afterwards and played a little as well.

Training Wheel Wisdom

This conversation occurred out front while Ian was riding his bike on the sidewalk.

Mommy: When do you think we should take off the training wheels?

Ian: (While thinking thoughtfully) Hmm, maybe when I am six. Six is a good two-wheel age.

Song Du Jour

The boys were taught this song in gym class at school.

All together now...though with a little confusion and then showing off for Ms Louise across the street.

The Pushup Comparison

When the boys spent some time with Uncle Scott recently, he taught them how to do pushups. Ian says Uncle Scott knows everything there is to know about muscles. Amelia is spotting and Elliot is begging to see the camera.

I guess the reason I haven't been any good at doing pushups is because I have been doing them wrong this whole time. I need to try Elliot's method. Once again Amelia is spotting.

Mommy, I think I have to poop

"Mommy, I think I have to poop and I need to sit on the potty."

Yes, I heard those wonderful words from Elliot this morning. So up to the bathroom we went. But alas, he did not poop. Even with my bribe of a trip to Toys R Us. But this is a start and hopefully, this means we are closer to being out of diapers.

Finally, It Snowed!!

Thankfully, the snow pants still fit and the tags were finally pulled off of all the snow gear bought for last year but never used. I personally think the wind blew a lot of the neighbor's snow into our yard because it seems like we had nearly a foot of snow when they only seemed to have a few inches.

As the snow pants were going on, Elliot gleefully stated, "I'm a farmer!" If only he knew that his Great Grandpa Tom wore overalls everyday.

It got a little chilly for Elliot after a while. So he headed inside to watch the activity from the top of a warm radiator.

Ian decided he could eat snow.

Still fun to sled on our tiny little hill in the front yard. Later that day, Daddy took them up to Greenwood campus to sled down the great big hill.

Happy and satisfied after a successful sled ride.

Ian's first loose tooth

In the next month or so, Ian will lose his first tooth. His two front bottom teeth are already working their way in. One more so than the other.
